STUDENT WORKSHOPS

This student workshop objective is to help the students become more proficient in their field by sharing and disseminating their research results and practical experiences with an international audience of medical informatics specialists. Student workshops at International Medical Informatics conferences have been held at various international conferences, among which the World Medical Informatics Conferences – MedInfo, and the European Medical Informatics conferences: MIE-Europe.

During these workshops, graduate students in the university programs that form IΦE presented their scientific traineeship work to an international audience. Typically, students discovered new ideas as they presented their scientific work, and reported to have deepened their research skills. Just as importantly, the international medical informatics audience was informed about research issues addressed by newcomers in the field. Overall, these workshops have promoted the discussion and exchange of ideas between newcomers in the field as well as the established international medical informatics community
